Free Flu Vaccinations for the Community
Protecting What Matters Most: Free Flu Vaccinations for Our Community.
Over four dedicated days, the Community Care Clinic organised flu vaccination days for the community — making an essential service accessible to those who need it most.
Normally, flu vaccinations come at a cost. For many people in the community, this can be a barrier. Yet for elderly people and those with chronic conditions, a flu vaccine is not a luxury — it is a vital protection that can prevent serious illness and complications.
By offering these vaccinations locally and free of charge, we were able to reach people who might otherwise go without.
These days were made possible by the incredible dedication of our volunteer nurses Jennifer, Asandiswa and Valerie. Their commitment, care, and willingness to give their time ensured that many members of the community received the protection they deserve.
What stood out most was not just the number of vaccinations given, but the sense of trust
and gratitude. People felt seen, supported, and safe.
This is what community healthcare is about:
Removing barriers, protecting the vulnerable, and showing up when it matters most.
And again — this is only the beginning.
